His desire to learn more led him to pursue formal education to expand his abilities. He continued this path by securing a degree in Construction Management from Tallahassee State College. His early exposure to a broad range of disciplines, including proficiency in CAD software, construction estimating, project management, Leed certifications and all codes/laws in the state of Florida have created the strongest of bonds between Apex management and site operations collective success.

With years of hands-on experience, Austin has played a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and consistently meeting the expectations of both project inspectors and general contractors. His work has been instrumental in streamlining standard operating procedures to position Apex alongside larger companies by improving project delivery timelines, and maintaining the highest standards of quality across various construction projects.

Austin consistently seeks to further develop his gamut of construction expertise. He is currently preparing for his General Contractor exam and further pursuit of specialized certifications in Construction Training and Qualification Programs (CTQP), to safeguard Apex Asphalt and his own skillsets by staying ahead of industry changes and aligning himself with market trends and changes to the industry as a whole. His commitment to ongoing professional development positions him to take on leadership roles within Apex Asphalt, contributing to both the company’s operational efficiency and its strategic vision for growth.

Austin is eager to help Apex Asphalt broaden its service offerings and explore new avenues within the asphalt industry, from milling, paving and resurfacing to infrastructure projects and sustainable solutions.
